Shino

Shino is Sawako's former middle-school classmate and her clearest link to life before high school. At the start of the series, she is the only person Sawako talks to and cares about whether Sawako is adjusting to her new school. Shino appears only occasionally but helps prompt Sawako's interactions with others and was the first person to call her by her nickname.
