Character profile
Seiran Shi
茈静蘭Seien
Biography
Seiran Shi is the Hong household's sole remaining retainer, having begun as a low-ranking army officer. Taken in by Shoka Hong years earlier, he repays that kindness through protection, repairs, and guard work. An amiable but formidable swordsman, he is especially protective of Shurei and prefers helping others from the shadows.
Story spoilers
Seiran is later revealed to be Seien, the exiled second-eldest brother of Ryuuki and a former royal prince. After exile and his mother's death, he spends time with the Satsujinzoku under the nickname "The Little Whirlwind" before the Hong family takes him in and gives him the identity Seiran. He also claims to be 21 despite actually being 26 at the story's beginning.
