Sarah Frances Russell

Sarah Frances Russell is Lynn's elder half-sister and is five years older than Lynn. Cold and distant when they first meet, Sarah is actually kind and caring. Sharing the experience of being motherless helps her gradually treat Lynn like a real younger sister, and Sarah defends Lynn from the Wibburys' abuse. Sarah has no memory of her own mother because her mother died before Sarah could remember her. She is very good at painting, is an excellent flute player, and has feelings for Arthur.
