Sandman is an 18-year-old participant in the Steel Ball Run from a Native American tribe. Despite being ostracized, he enters the race hoping to earn enough money to buy back his ancestors' land, and his running technique quickly establishes him as a fierce competitor.

Sandman is also a Stand User. His Stand, In a Silent Way, can store sounds inside objects or people.
