Sana Kurata is an energetic sixth-grade child actress and the star of the television show Child's Toy. Curious, stubborn, talkative, and eager to help others, she has a natural tendency to lead. At school she clashes with Akito Hayama over the chaos he encourages in class.
Story spoilers
Sana and Akito eventually become friends as she learns more about him. Sana is later revealed to have been adopted by Misako, with Keiko Sakai identified as her biological mother. The manga also depicts a temporary loss of emotion described as "Doll Syndrome," and Sana eventually recognizes that she is in love with Akito. In the later one-shot Deep Clear, twenty-six-year-old Sana is married to Akito, pregnant with his child, and later gives birth to their daughter Shuri.
