Sakuranbou

Sakuranbou, usually called Cherry, is Sakura's wandering monk uncle. He claims impressive spiritual powers, frequently predicts disaster for Ataru and has a habit of appearing unexpectedly from bizarre places. Although he has taken a vow of asceticism and lives in a tent near Ataru's home, his appetite remains enormous and he routinely mooches food from others.
