Saiai Kinuhata

Saiai Kinuhata is a twelve-year-old member of ITEM under Mugino Shizuri. Despite being a powerful esper, she is relatively laid-back compared with the rest of the group, enjoys bad movies and frequently adds "super" to her speech. Her Level 4 ability, Offense Armor, compresses atmospheric nitrogen into a protective layer that can be used for both attack and defense.
Story spoilers
Saiai becomes ITEM's leader in Volume 19 after Mugino's defeat in Volume 15. According to Teitoku Kakine, she is a leftover from the Dark May Project, whose experiments tried to reproduce aspects of Accelerator's ability; her result is an automatic defensive response when attacked.
