Story spoilers
Raphtalia's father is heir to the Q'ten Lo throne. Sadeena later follows Raphtalia's parents when they elope and settles with them in Melromarc's Seaetto territory, where a protected district for demi-humans is being established. She once rescues Keel from drowning.
When a Wave strikes the village, Sadeena is away fishing and cannot return in time to help. Raphtalia and the survivors believe the disaster could have been less severe had Sadeena been present, and Sadeena deeply regrets her absence.
