Ryuubi Gentoku

Biography
Ryuubi Gentoku is portrayed differently between versions. In the visual novel, she is the young queen of Shu: naïve, reluctant to wage war, impatient with paperwork and strongly trusting of her subordinates. In the anime, she is the descendant of a distinguished family whose name and heirloom sword are stolen, sending her on a journey to recover both her reputation and the sword. That search brings her into contact with Kan'u and company.
Story spoilers
Ryuubi later regains the heirloom sword, only to sacrifice it while defending a village from bandits. Inspired by Kan'u, she forms a sisterly bond with Kan'u and Chouhi and is later presented with a new sword said by the villagers to have been left by the gods.
