Biography
Ruki Makino begins by treating Digimon as little more than computer data and wants her partner Renamon to become the strongest. Proud, independent, grouchy, and cynical, she speaks to the unusually mature Renamon as an equal rather than as a pet.
Story spoilers
Ruki gradually learns to value their partnership and friendship. Ruki's defensiveness is linked to her parents' divorce and the isolation she felt afterward. Beneath that defensive attitude, she is deeply caring and wants to protect both her friends and the city.
