Story spoilers
Rozé is female and is actually Sakuya, whose colder, more calculating side is focused on rescuing Sakura and avenging her parents. Although Rozé treats Ash as a brother, Sakuya secretly hates him, used Geass to make him believe they were family, and plans to kill him for her father's death once her other goals are complete.
