Roy Mustang

Roy Mustang is a State Alchemist and Amestrian military officer in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. A veteran of the Ishval Civil War and Edward Elric's superior, he is an accomplished commander with ambitions of becoming the next Führer of Amestris.

Mustang often presents himself as vain, arrogant, and more interested in personal advancement than duty. He procrastinates, delegates paperwork, and is skilled at maneuvering people without making his involvement obvious. Beneath that image, however, he is fiercely devoted to his subordinates and friends. He sees his position as a means to protect others and is willing to put himself at risk for people who trust him, earning strong loyalty in return.
