Character profile
Roy Alphard
ロイ・アルファルドBiography
Roy Alphard is a Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult who embodies Gluttony's "bizarre eating" aspect. Unlike Lye or Louis, he cares little about what he consumes or whom he chooses, favoring sheer quantity. In battle he exploits weaknesses immediately rather than giving opponents opportunities.
Story spoilers
Roy possesses the Authority of Gluttony, allowing him to consume a person's name and memories and gain access to aspects of their experience and abilities. A stolen name can erase a person's existence from others' awareness, while stolen memories leave the victim amnesic. The power sickens Roy if he consumes a false name or memory, and he cannot consume the same person again until they have formed enough new memories or a changed sense of self.
