Ringo is a young girl who befriends Casshern while being cared for by Ouji. Despite growing up in a ruined world and witnessing Casshern violently destroy a robot to save her, she retains her innocence and continues to believe in him.
Story spoilers
Near the end of the story, everyone except Ringo, Friender, and Casshern dies. Ringo is devastated but eventually grows into a young woman who has learned to accept death while waiting for Casshern's return. Her final encounter with Leda also hints that Ringo may have been the baby in Leda's womb.
