Ren Tsuruga is a 20-year-old star who presents himself as exceptionally nice and polite, though Kyoko sees a less polished side of him. He can be teasing and harbors unrequited feelings for her.
Story spoilers
Flashbacks reveal that Ren knew Kyoko when she was younger, though she does not realize that he is the "fairy-prince Corn" she remembers. He spent much of his life in America, where his early acting career was troubled by repeated firings. His public name, Tsuruga Ren, is a stage name, and later chapters imply that his original name was Kuon.
