Ren Kaidou is a hardworking, honest and perceptive child who lives with Haru and the twins Aki and Shima. Mature for his age, he dislikes being treated like a child and tends to keep his insecurities to himself rather than burden others. He loves dogs, is unusually fond of rice and is gradually adapting to life in Japan.
