Reiko Natsume

夏目レイコ

Biography

Reiko Natsume is Takashi Natsume's maternal grandmother and the source of the strong spiritual power he inherits. Isolated from both humans and youkai, she defeated many youkai and made them record their names in the Yuujinchou, binding them as servants, though she could also show kindness that people sometimes misunderstood.

Story spoilers

Reiko died young, leaving no human willing to remember her, while many youkai later mistake Takashi for her; some resent her, while others continue waiting for her return.
