Ranmaru Mori
Biography
Ranmaru Mori is described as a kind of alien who descended to Earth 500 years before the story alongside the Host of Oboro. He manipulates Nobunaga while promising him ultimate power, having his own designs on ruling Earth. Ranmaru is also responsible for the Yotoden prophecy and for giving the Swords of Sorcery to the villages of Kasumi, Hyuga and Hagakure-no-Sato.
Story spoilers
Ranmaru opens the gate to the underworld but is destroyed by the combined efforts of Ayame, Sakon and Ryoma with their Swords of Sorcery.
