Rakshata Chawla is an Indian scientist who leads the Black Knights' research and development team. Experienced in medical cybernetics and usually laid-back in manner, she treats her inventions like her children. She created the Guren Mk-II and its radiant wave surger weapon.
Story spoilers
She also developed the Gefjun Disturber to disable sakuradite-powered technology within its field. By the second season, newer Knightmares have countermeasures, leaving only fifth-generation or older Knightmares vulnerable. When the UFN is formed and the Black Knights become its military force, Rakshata is designated Chief of Science.
