Biography
In Super Robot Taisen Original Generations and Original Generation Gaiden, Raidiese F. Branstein is a 19-year-old SRX Team second lieutenant and pilot of the R-2 Powered. The younger son of Maier von Branstein and brother of Elzam, Rai leaves his noble family and Colony Corps path for the Earth Alliance, where he works as a skilled test pilot. Calm, proud, and humorless, he is the only SRX pilot without T-LINK abilities and instead handles the machine's Tronium engine.
Story spoilers
A catastrophic Hückebein malfunction badly injures Rai and leaves his left hand crippled beneath a glove. Rai adopted the name Fujiwara from his late sister-in-law Kathreia after her death during the Elpis incident. His early contempt for Ryu gradually softens as Ryu improves, and Rai eventually acknowledges him as both comrade and rival.
