Character profile
Popo
ポポBiography
Popo is the public voice of Issoudan, an organization opposed to memory chips. He is the first person to meet Kaiba after his awakening, explains that Kaiba is in danger, temporarily calls him “Warp” and smuggles him aboard the ship Neuron. A confident and forceful speaker, Popo readily manipulates others and often places Issoudan above even his childhood friendships.
Story spoilers
Popo's motives may include taking power for himself, and before the first episode he has Neiro's memories altered to keep her loyal to Issoudan. As a child he suffered from an unspecified illness, was later recruited with other orphaned children and befriended Neiro and Cheki, promising that one day he would become king so they could live happily together.
