Oboro begins as an impulsive, somewhat egotistical bandit chief near Yamayura. He is very caring toward his younger sister Yuzuha, fights with two katanas, and is usually accompanied by Dorii and Guraa.
Story spoilers
Oboro joins Hakuoro's rebellion and later becomes a general of the new country of Tusukuru. Before Hakuoro is sealed, he names Oboro the next emperor. After Yuzuha dies, Oboro leaves on a journey to understand how to become a worthy ruler.
