Biography
Nelliel Tu Oderschvank, usually called Nel Tu, is introduced as a good-natured, childlike Arrancar with a cartoonish skull remnant of a Hollow mask. She and her companions fear Soul Reapers, yet she quickly becomes attached to Ichigo and begins following him.
Story spoilers
Nel's child form hides her true identity as an adult former Tercera Espada. Nnoitra and Szayel Aporro once cracked her mask, reducing her to a child and erasing her memories. When those memories return, she regains her adult form and formidable powers, including the ability to redirect Cero attacks and release her zanpakutō Gamuza into an ibex-like centaur form.
