Neju Na Melmas
ネージュ・ナ・メルマスNejuu Na Melmas
Biography
Neju Na Melmas looks like a ten-year-old girl and is politically savvy, extremely cunning and a powerful telepath. She first meets Seina Yamada on Jurai after the Kamidake suffers fatal damage, and later accompanies Seina, Amane, Kiriko and Ryoko aboard the Kamidake II to the G.P. Academy.
Story spoilers
Neju is actually a 2,000-year-old high priestess and spiritual leader whose many assassination attempts had been thwarted through body doubles and her powers. At the G.P. Academy, Seto says a pirate attack was more than likely an attempt on Neju's life. Neju is nearing the point of selecting a successor and entering secular life, which would normally require five years on Melmas; because enemies from her tenure would still threaten her, it is decided that she should enter the G.P. Academy as a student. She is later engaged to Seina in a political marriage and remains aboard the Kamidake II with him as her husband.
