Nei

Nei is a 10-year-old girl with differently colored eyes, an extraordinary existence on Mars after a decade without children being born there. She accompanies Layla everywhere and has spent so long pretending to be a doll to avoid attention that the behavior has become part of her. Around Layla, Nei feels able to act like herself.
