Biography
Naruko Anjou is a childhood friend of Jinta and Menma who now attends the same high school as Jinta, though he has stopped going. She acts cold toward Jinta while remaining concerned about him, cares deeply for her old friends, and works at a video game store. Her collection of manga and games helps her reconnect with Jinta and Poppo.
Story spoilers
Naruko admits that she was jealous of Menma as a child and secretly had a crush on Jinta. She blames herself for helping set in motion the events surrounding Menma's death and still has feelings for Jinta years later, eventually telling Chiriko that he is irreplaceable to her.
