Nao Chikura is one of Ayumi's friends, a second-year middle-school student who is somewhat envious of Kei's attention. She and Koyoi stop walking home with Ayumi because they are afraid of Misao.
Story spoilers
As an art-club member, Nao admires Renjou Yukito's painting of a cherry tree and asks him to help with her own work. His departure after graduation leaves her heartbroken, and she later grows closer to Hiroyuki Sogabe after learning about his feelings for her.
