Nanako Kusanagi is the 12-year-old daughter of the owner of the shop where Hisashi works. Though she presents herself as sweet and angelic, she is spoiled and selfish, wants Hisashi to be her boyfriend, and enjoys teasing Nao.

By the final chapter of Good Morning Call, Nanako realizes that her feelings for Hisashi were admiration rather than love. In Good Morning Kiss, she is 18 years old.
