Najica Hiiragi is a noted perfumer for CRI Cosmetics who can identify more than 500 scents. At the beginning of the series, she is struggling to complete the Day Series by finding the perfect scent for its final perfume, “Sunday.”
Story spoilers
Secretly, Najica is a field agent for CRI's Intelligence Bureau, an agency unknown to the public and even most CRI employees. She is an expert markswoman and helicopter pilot. Her first mission in the narrative is to recover the Humaritt codenamed ZZZ, called Lila; Lila is later assigned as Najica's partner as CRI takes on further Humaritt-recovery missions.
