Nadja Applefield is a sunny, charming girl with a talent for dancing and making friends. Raised by Miss Applefield after being left in her care as a baby, Nadja is responsible enough to look after younger children at the orphanage but can also be impulsive and overly trusting. Her greatest wish is to reunite with her mother, and the heart-shaped brooch she had as an infant is one of her few links to her origins.
