Momoko Sakura

Momoko Sakura, usually called Maruko, is a third-grade student growing up in a relatively poor family of six. Lazy, disorganized, and often late to school, she contrasts sharply with her tidy older sister, with whom she shares a room. Maruko tries to escape homework and chores and takes advantage of her doting grandfather, but she remains a well-meaning child who wants to do good.
