Miyu Yamazaki is one of Ran's closest friends, an independent, headstrong, and kind girl whose cute, romantic demeanor hides a rougher past. She remains an exceptional fighter and can become intimidating when pushed too far.

Miyu once led the street gang Resistance during middle school. After rookie police officer Yamato helped her through a difficult situation, she fell in love with him, left that life behind, and became much more polite. She later became close friends with Ran.
