Miyako Asami is a biomedical engineer at Mode Warp who works closely with Akamatsu Industries to understand and eliminate Algernon. Years earlier, the mysterious Director recruited her for the Dive Inspection, giving her familiarity with several later adversaries.

Miyako learns that surviving the Dive Inspection made her a carrier of Algernon and is killed shortly afterward.
