Mio Sanada is the school nurse and inventor of the G-On technology used by Yuuki, Sera, and Yayoi.
Story spoilers
Her real name is Sana, and she is Mako's younger sister. At some point in the past, a time warp aged her by several million years, changing her body from that of a ten-year-old to a twenty-something. Separately, she built Zero and created the Maiden and Man Circuits. When she first came to Earth, her spaceship struck Ichiro; she transformed him into a cyborg and implanted the Man Circuit within him.
