Miku Hatsune

Hatsune Miku is a VOCALOID developed and distributed by Crypton Future Media, first released for the VOCALOID2 engine in August 2007 as the first Character Vocal Series entry. Her voice is provided by Saki Fujita, and later releases expanded her libraries across Japanese, English, and Mandarin Chinese. Illustrator KEI designed her around a blue-green color scheme and an android concept.

Her name combines hatsu (“first”), ne (“sound”), and miku (“future”), expressing the idea of “the first sound from the future.”
