Biography
Messiah is a black-winged angelic android created to destroy Earth as an expression of Dr. Ashino's suffering. His memory chip is still unfinished when he encounters Chihaya, who has identical black wings.
Story spoilers
The encounter leaves Messiah confused about his original purpose, and he ultimately decides that what he truly wants is to protect Chihaya at any cost.
