When Chihiro is bedridden after Rea's attack, Mero becomes frantic with worry. She later tells Rea that, after watching Chihiro for 12 years, she is relieved he found her. It is also strongly suggested that Mero and Chihiro's mother was a zombie who left them because she feared harming them.
