Meiko Rokudo

Meiko Rokudo is an innocent-looking but extremely powerful teenage girl who controls twelve animal-form Shikigami named after the Heavenly Generals. They are normally controlled, but when Meiko becomes distraught they can turn destructive. Her mother was their former mistress and remains able to control them at will. The story also hints that Meiko is a lesbian with feelings for Mikami, who was able to calm her when the Shikigami first went out of control in public.
