Biography
Maze arrives in a fantasy world when her house falls on Princess Mil's would-be killer, accidentally saving the princess. She becomes fiercely protective of Mil, begins as a natural pacifist and possesses substantial magical ability.
Story spoilers
Maze is actually a fusion of siblings Mei and Akira: Mei dominates during the day, while Akira takes over at night. Maze was brought from the real world as the Eraser to correct an imbalance, and the male nighttime form has much greater magical power and a strong love of fighting. The siblings' past involved a forbidden romance, and by the end of the TV series they choose to remain in the fantasy world rather than return home.
