Character profile
Matthew Cuthbert
マシュウ・カスバートBiography
Matthew Cuthbert is Marilla's shy and awkward brother. He takes a liking to Anne immediately, and the two quickly become friends. Far less talkative than Anne, Matthew is nevertheless an attentive listener.
His gentler approach also leads him to indulge Anne with things Marilla considers frivolous, such as a dress with puffed sleeves.
