Masato

He is immortal and has lived for eight centuries. He feeds mermaid flesh to women and makes them pose as his mother until he considers them useless. Misa gave him the name Masato during World War II after losing her son in an air raid; decades later he targets Mana as his next mother figure. After his car crashes into a truck, the ending suggests he may still be searching for another “mother.”
