Masakaki

Masakaki is a mysterious figure who appears to people in desperate circumstances, offering large sums of money as loans secured against their possible futures. His manner swings between sinister and untrustworthy and unexpectedly cheerful or childlike.

He describes himself as taking orders from above and comes from a nexus-like dimension that connects with points in the ordinary world, with seemingly vast power to affect the material realm.
