Story spoilers
A mix-up involving a mysterious potion transforms Masaharu into a stuffed lamb doll. Kisaragi gives him another potion so he can move and speak, but returning fully to normal requires collecting seven stardrops with his chosen partner, Sumomo, without revealing his identity. The transformation follows the moon's phases: he is human during the day and becomes a stuffed animal after sunset, with full and new moons altering the duration of each form.
