Biography
Maru is one of the two girls who lead Watanuki into Yūko's shop.
Story spoilers
Maru and Moro are described as having no souls and being unable to leave the shop. Yūko later explains that their concentration helps keep the shop in existence, at the cost of long periods of deep sleep. They assist around the shop, usually speak together, and show genuine concern for both Yūko and Watanuki despite their teasing.
