Mariya Mikado is Mizuho's spirited childhood friend. When he transfers to her all-girls school, she enthusiastically handles his makeover and works hard to make sure his appearance, mannerisms, and speech remain convincingly feminine. Her fiery temperament can make that guidance forceful.

As Mizuho grows more independent and confident, Mariya realizes that he no longer depends on her as he once did. The change unsettles her. She also discovers romantic feelings for him that she had not previously recognized.
