Marina Konno is one of Nao's best friends and is very loyal to her. She is intensely interested in boys and keeps a book about the attractive boys she knows, but says she would never date someone she does not genuinely like. She also takes computer classes.

Later, Marina begins dating Mi-chan. After seeing him with a girl from his study group, she admits she already knew he was not cheating but feels insecure about whether his new high-school life will still have room for her. Mi-chan tells her that he does not want them to break up, and they reconcile.
