Biography
Mao is the protagonist of MAO, a mature, reserved and somewhat aloof figure who is preoccupied with a past he cannot fully remember. That uncertainty drives his obsessive search for the Byōki who cursed him.
Mao favors onmyōdō exorcism and healing over curse techniques.
Story spoilers
In his Byōki form, he falls outside the Chinese elemental cycle and can attack without the usual threat of exorcism.
