After the submarine wreck is rediscovered, Alfred assigns the Aryan Socialist Union to recover the painting while secretly giving the same job to the Lagoon Company. The competing assignments are a test motivated by Alfred's racist belief that the A.S.U. should be able to defeat Dutch's group. The A.S.U. succeeds in recovering the painting but is then slaughtered by Revy and Dutch, exposing Alfred's deception to Ratchman.
