Lillie loves Pokémon and has exceptional knowledge about them, yet returns from living elsewhere with an unexplained fear that prevents her from touching them. Despite that fear, she leaves food for Pokémon and pays close attention to small details.
Story spoilers
Lillie gradually works through her fear, first becoming comfortable with Snowy and later touching other Pokémon. After recovering memories of Silvally saving her, she becomes able to touch Pokémon without fear.
