Lala-Ru is a quiet, childlike being whom Shu encounters in the first episode. She invokes water powers through her pendant but does not want humans to use them, especially Hamdo.
Story spoilers
Each use permanently weakens her body. She has found that people's initial gratitude for her powers turns to violence when she refuses to use them.
